Real Bronze "lost wax method" by Ms. Baldwin |
|
Ms. Baldwin is a preeminent sculptress. When creating each of her original statues several weeks are devoted to developing, interpreting, and then capturing the essence of the particular creation. She individually sculpts each dog statue in wax. This method allows her to combine her technical skills and artistic talent to produce this superb collectible work and even more importantly results in accuracy carry-over which results in a richly detailed final bronze statue. She works every step of the process including, at the foundry. Her work is found in many museums both in the U.S. and abroad, in private collections, even Buckingham Palace! The finished work of art is an enduring sculpture requiring minimal care which will bring joy and beauty into the lives of those who view it for generations to come. Most definitely a collector piece. |

How to care for you Bronze Sculpture People will want to touch your sculptures and so will you ! However, touching bronze will eventually remove the wax and patina. Your Bronze was protected with a coat of clear wax. To protect your sculpture complete the following steps: A. Wash it gently with soap and water (put dishwashing detergent on a damp, well wrung-out cloth --rinse with another damp cloth -- to avoid getting base wet. B. Dry it thoroughly with a soft cloth. C. Apply a thin coat of clear wax (real paste wax, not liquid waxes) or clear paste shoe polish. D. Buff it to the shine you want with a very soft, clean cloth or piece of lambs wool. |
